Good morning, everyone! Lapis Shade here. Today, Damion Puck and I are going to take you on a little tour of all things SimWorld ... at least on our end anyway.

Some of you might not know it, but we announcers are actually stationed in DIFFERENT locations ... therefore there are DIFFERENT locations for the award presenations! Did we fool you?

I certainly feel fooled!

But anyway ... on with the tour!

Before we get into the place where Damion and I will be living for the duration, let's take a look at the stage and discussion area for the SimWorld Awards.

As you can see ... it has everything we need for announcing the nominees and the winners.

And with the effects of Sim Magic ... it will look VERY glamorous for the actual awards presenations. So magical in fact that I can go *POOF* ... and SPLADOW! I'm in one of my MANY schnazzy outfits!

*shakes head* Damion, Damion, Damion ...

And see! Lapis can do it, too!

Yeeee-aaaah ... *rolls eyes* ANYWAY ... this is the podium in front of which Damion and I will give our speeches.

You mean I gotta do them, TOO??? Drat! Now mum is going to be calling up with the "I-told-you-so's" ... she wanted me to take that Orator course at University. *moans* I hated that course!

Damion, you're such a natural ham ... you'll be fine.

You think so?

I KNOW so.

And next we have the "discussion" area.

Very cushy! But you're too far away, Lapis. Let's get a little closer, shall we?

Now keep in mind that our CEO - Anjelstar - the one in charge of our branch of the SimWorld Awards, didn't like the layout of this discussion area ... and thus REDESIGNED it.

And last, but certainly not least, is our home.

Lookee! We went *POOF* again!

ORIGINALLY (interrupting Damion), all the CEOs of the SimWorld Campaigns thought to give us just a small, little, TINY dwelling since we're going to be on the go a lot ... but Anjelstar didn't hold by that.

And in her own words, said she got "carried away" ... :O)

Regardless of whether or not she got carried away, I think she did a FINE job on our home.

It's got everything we could ever need (even though we probably won't need it most of the time with our motives being static and all ...)!

Techincally, our home has five floors ... a basement where the living room is located:

The ground floor where the kitchen and dining room is:

The second floor is the music and art room ...

It's basically a den:

And then there's the master bedroom and bathroom on the third floor:

And the top floor (the roof) has our jacuzzi and our workout equipment ...

Not to mention a nifty telescope to check out our alien brethren:

Now ... if you're wondering about the second and third podiums (one is outside the house between the house and the stage, and the other is on the roof) ...

... Anjelstar thinks it would be great to do some presentations from other locations.

Sounds cool! Change IS inevitable after all.

Good morning/afternoon/evening, ladies and gentlemen, and simmers of all ages, races, creeds, etc. My name (or rather, my pseudonym) is Anjelstar76 (a.k.a. Anjel76). Some of you may know me from the Sims 2 Legacy Yahoo! Groups (Classic and University), and you may be very familiar with my various legacy (and non-legacy) families.

I have many guises, many shapes in my blogs and in my Sims 2 neighborhoods. But now ... I'm putting on another guise - the guise of a disembodied voice. Yes, ladies and gentleman. I ... Anjelstar76/Anjel76 am now a disembodied voice. Why is that, you ask? Because of a little creation founded by Sarianastar appropriately named "The SimWorld Campaigns" (see previous blog entry).

With this new and ambitious endeavor, I, with my other colleagues, will attempt to recognize certain people for their sheer brilliance in creating things in the Sims 2 world. That is what the SimWorld Award show is for. All of us, my colleagues and myself, will give a prestigous award (see previous blog) for those of you out there with brilliant-beyond-brilliant Sims 2 legacy stories, families, homes, moments. And to present these awards, we have all created hosts and hostesses.

Sarianastar created Saria (kinda like Prince with the no last name thing) and Daenal Moonwind (not to mention the rather non-disambodied form of Buffy SimPhereson - center)

Our friend Qosmic was kind enough to introduce Qiqi and Nils (respectively).

And now it's my turn. I would like to introduce you all to Lapis Shade ...

... and Damion Puck.

Lapis Shade started off as a small town girl in the rurals of the United States of Simerica. She got scholarships to college and managed to get herself a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts before going on to graduate school for her Master's degree in Fashion and Design.

Hello, Lapis. How does it feel to be one of the announcers, one of the hostesses of The SimWorld Campaigns' presentation of the 2005 SimWorld Awards?

"It feels pretty good, Anjelstar ... can I call you Anjelstar?"

Yes ... that's fine. So ... how did The SimWorld Campaigns happen to get in touch with you about presenting at this prestigious and momentous occasion?

"Well ... I was just finishing up my Master's ... and was preparing to graduate with honors. I hadn't really gotten my resume out there yet ... and with graduation so close, I was starting to get worried. When I get worried ... I surf the web - it calms me somehow. That's where I saw the advertisement for The SimWorld Campaigns. I'd never heard of them, so I went to their website to find out what it was all about. When I found out that they were looking for creative people - and not just as announcers - I knew that opportunity was knocking."

And we're happy that you answered the door. ;O)

Damion Puck comes to us from the continent of Simstralia ... but was born in New Simland. He's actually a distant (VERY distant) relation to the members of the royal family of elves in Great Simtain (Simland). Many would think that he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth (as our dear Lapis thought when she first met him) ...

... but that's only because they don't know him. He has a wonderfully humorous personality, and tends to lend some comic relief to a program that tends to get too serious at times. He has a degree in broadcasting and journalism. Welcome, Damion Puck!

*Note: think Australian/New Zealand accent with inflections of British every now and again ... and I can do this cuz he's MINE!*

So how did you come to find out about The SimWorld Campaigns?

"Well ... it's actually a pretty funny story. So there I was ... going to visit me mum and dad back in New Simland for a holiday from university. I was sitting in the waiting area at the airport just minding me own business watching a bit of telly. When suddenly, out of nowhere, this raging lunatic wearing tan khaki's and a safari t-shirt starts yelling: 'CRICKEY ... WHOT A BUTE!' *Note: think Crocodile Hunter*
I turn my head and see this television crew and this guy zooming through the airport after a 'roo wearing a red, hooded sweatshirt rapping this ridiculous song about hippin' and hoppin'.
*Note: think Kangaroo Jack*
Before I could dive out of the way, the kangaroo lands on me and says: "Bored? Tired of War and bad news in the media? Why not check out The SimWorld Campaigns! They get to do all sorts of fun stuff!"

Ummm ... okay. (*scratches head*)

"What? You don't believe me?!"

Well ... it is kinda far-fetched, Damion. I've never seen a talking kangaroo before.

"Do these eyes look like they could lie?"

Well ...

"DO they?"

I ... I guess not ... *swoon*

"There ya go!"
"*sigh* I really wonder about you sometimes, Damion."

Are you feeling sad and unappreciated because no one leaves comments on your Legacy Challenge blog sites even though you KNOW people have been reading them?

Well, feel sad and unappreciated no more, because WE have some news for YOU!

Thanks to a few very creative "simmers": Sarianastar (founder of the SimWorld Campaigns), Qosmic, and Anjelstar76 (a.k.a. Anjel76, and ME) with whom many of you may be acquainted ...

... there is to be a place just for players of the Sims 2 World ... from ALL OVER the REAL world ... where various aspects of an individual's Sims 2 game - Classic, University, Nightlife ... and whatever else might come out in the future ... can be appreciatated by the very simmers who read those blogs (but might be too shy to comment).

Nominate your favorite legacy heir(ess). Nominate your favorite legacy estate! Nominate moments that tug at your heartstrings or boil your blood. Let the SimWorld Campaign make you feel on top of the Sim World!
